Each high school biotechnology kit will come with safety guidelines. It is important to know about your school’s policies on the use of our kits. We also have a safety protocols guideline that will help you with how to store and handle the kits as well as any special warnings. Q. I prefer to use a local distributor, is this possible?

Yes this is possible. EBPI currently works closely with various international distributors who import EBPI toxicity tests on a regular basis. To locate a distributor for your country, please e-mail sales@biotoxicity.com with contact information as well as which product(s) you are interested in and our local distributor will be in-touch within a few business days with pricing and availability.

Q. How long does delivery take?

Once payment or a Purchase Order Number has been accepted, products are typically shipped within 24-48 hours (please allow an additional 2-3 business days for bulk orders). Currently we ship all of our high school biotechnology kits and supplies via UPS Express (overnight delivery within Canada and the United States and 2-4 day delivery worldwide). Equipment, pipettes and plastics are subject to availability and may take 1-2 weeks for delivery.

Note: From time-to-time our products may encounter customs delays, though one of our staff will work closely with UPS and international customs departments to ensure the shipments are delivered within a timely manner. Our high school biotechnology kits have been designed to be shipped internationally. All reagents and organisms can withstand room temperature for up to 1-2 weeks, though it is recommended to store the reagents at the correct conditions upon delivery.

Q. What are the Storage requirements and Shipping conditions?

All of our high school biotechnology kits include information for storage conditions. The conditions range from Room Temperature (20-25 degrees Celsius), to Fridge (4 degrees Celsius) or Freezer (-20 degrees Celsius) temperatures. Our products DO NOT require -80 freezers for storage of bacterial cultures, thus allowing our toxicity tests to be used in smaller laboratory facilities.

During shipping, all EBPI toxicity tests are shipped in insulated containers containing ice packs to keep reagents and bacteria cool during shipping. If you prefer dry ice during the shipping process, this can be included for a small service fee.

Q. What is your Warranty?

EBPI warrants that, at the time of shipment, the products sold by it are free of defects in material and workmanship, and conform to company's specifications. Since actual experimental conditions prevailing at user's laboratory are beyond the control of EBPI or its representatives, EBPI makes no other warranty, express or implied, with respect to the products. Notification of any breach of warranty must be made within 120 days of delivery. The sole and exclusive remedy of the customer for any liability of EBPI of any kind, including liability based upon warranty (express or implied, whether contained herein or elsewhere) is limited to the replacement of the products or the refund of the invoice price of the products.

Q. I am not sure which high school biotechnology kits I will require for my class.

Our education program is centred on four major streams which are testing water, testing soil, testing chemicals, and simulated testing. Each stream consists of one or more types of high school biotechnology kits that you can use to conduct these experiments. If you need assistance to prepare for your project and experiment, feel free to contact us and/or read over our section regarding assistance for educators.
